Oil Painting: Jan van Eyke
Jan Van Eyke had a brother named Hubert. They were known as the Flemish Brothers. They did a lot of paintings and carvings of townspeople and religious scenes. They were the people that actually created the oil paint. Some of Jan's greatest paintings are of The Crucifiction and The Last Judgement. It took him 5 years to create The Last Judgement. Another painting was of Giovanni Arnolfini and His Wife. He created that painting in 1434. It was really detailed. He is also famous for creating Madonna of Chancellor Rolin.
